Farmer and Florist is a flower farm and retail flower shop in Marysville, Kansas. We specialize in wedding flowers, sympathy flowers, custom floral arrangements, unique gifts and unusual house plants.  

About our Farm

Our Flower Farm was established in 2016 and is home to over 75 different varieties of annuals and perennials specially grown for cut flower purposes.

About Amy

Amy's love for flowers and weddings started back in 2009, when she co-launched her first floral design and coordination company called Hitched Planning + Floral in Kansas City, MO. Hitched quickly grew and is still currently one of the longest standing wedding planning firms in Kansas City Area. Over the years, Hitched has been featured in numerous publications such as The Knot, Style Me Pretty and KC Weddings Magazine.

In 2015, Amy and her family decided to purchase her husband's family farmstead and move back home to Home, Kansas. Not long after, Amy launched her new business, Farmer and Florist. Farmer and Florist started out as a commerically cut flower farm selling to the Kansas City wholsale floral market.

As the business grew, Amy decided to focus her efforts on her true loves of weddings and retail and eventually cut wholesale from the business in 2021. Amy went on the hunt for the perfect brick and mortar location and finally purchased a 125 year old historic building in downtown Marysville, Kansas. With extensive remodeling, she opened the new retail location for Farmer and Florist in the Winter of 2022.

When Amy is not slinging flowers or designing weddings, you can find her exploring the great outdoors with her husband Jim, her 3 kiddos Lydia, Charlie and Layla and their 2 labs Sunny and Bobo.
